Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) is stepping up its game in France.
Here’s what’s happening over at LSM’s French operation, as revealed by head of continental Europe Kadidja Sinz (pictured) during the AMRAE risk managers’ conference in Marseille: the range of product lines underwritten will be broadened; the team will become bigger; and a series of investments will be made.
During the first quarter of this year, four new lines of business will be rolled out – surety, fine art & specie, contingent risk, and terrorism. The French unit will also see the creation of 10 new roles within 2018, all while money is poured into commercial relationship management systems and web-based technical underwriting tools.
“By growing our offering with new specialty lines, we’re firmly on course to be among the best specialised insurers in each of the European countries in which we’re active,” said Sinz. “France is our largest operation in this area and will continue to offer brokers and their clients the most comprehensive suite of specialty lines.”
LSM employs more than 1,000 people across 22 offices worldwide. Part of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, it offers specialty and commercial insurance and reinsurance products.
