Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has named Alli MacLean as the head of accident & health and contingency – a newly created role – effective last July 01.
MacLean will be based in London and report to Lewis Edwards, head of specialty binders.
The appointment follows the exit of contingency chief Yael Mimran from LSM last April. However, MacLean’s role is broader in that it encompasses both the A&H portfolio and the specialty binders division.
In particular, he will be responsible for advancing LSM’s position within the accident & health and contingency classes.
MacLean has 20 years of industry experience with specific focus on accident & health and contingency. Previously he was the global product leader for live entertainment at Allianz Global Corporate & Speciality (AGCS), where he had worked since 2019. Prior to AGCS, MacLean was a contingency underwriter at Ark.
“We are delighted to welcome Alli to the team,” Edwards said. “His depth of experience in these classes will strengthen our team and bring both classes under one leadership, as we align our product offerings to meet the needs of our clients and brokers alike.”
