Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has appointed
Zurich mainstay Gion Caprez as claims manager for the Swiss markets.
Based in the insurer’s Zurich office, Caprez will be in charge of the entire Swiss claims zone, including areas that speak German, French and Italian.
Caprez has started on his new role and reports to Mike Gillett, LSM’s head of claims, and Felix Boeni, head of the Zurich office.
“Resolving claims is a key part of Liberty’s business. Gion’s professionalism and expertise will complement our existing European and international claims network,” Gillet said.
“Liberty is committed to our European client and operations and this appointment not only reflects our investment but will also contribute to our growth and success across Europe,” he added.
A reputable figure in the European claims market, Caprez most recently served as head of financial lines claims at Zurich for over 12 years.
He also was a manager at La Dolce Vita in Mexico and a legal counsel for major insurer
Generali.
