Legal & General has named its head of regional broker within the general insurance division as it aims to build stronger ties with broker partners.
Carol Hughes takes up the role with immediate effect, joining from
AXA where she was also the head of regional broker.
The latest hire follows Legal & General’s announcement in December of its plan to foster closer relationships with its broker partners across its home insurance offering this year. The company also intends to improve its proposition across regional brokers.
“Carol’s appointment illustrates Legal & General’s long-term commitment to brokers and our desire to build on our presence in the regional broker market,” said Kevin Roberts, broker and affinity director.
“Carol’s experience will prove invaluable to L&G and is testament to our investment in the broker home insurance market as we look to further expand our offering in 2017 with regional brokers,” Roberts added.
Hughes spent 11 years at AXA where she held several senior management positions across personal distribution, including corporate partners and intermediary. In her most recent role, she was responsible for developing and delivering the regional proposition.
