Keycare, a leading expert in the recovery of lost and stolen keys, has announced a contract with one of Europe’s largest car dealers to be its exclusive provider of key insurance for new and used car customers in the UK, according to a news release.
Keycare has partnered with Arnold Clark, one of Europe’s largest independently-owned car dealers. The Glasgow-based company, founded in 1954, has 200 branches nationwide and sells more than 250,000 cars per year.
Keycare will offer key insurance to customers under the Arnold Clark Insurance Services brand. Coverage will include:
- Peace-of-mind cover for up to £1,500 for replacement of lost or stolen keys. The coverage includes call-out charges and costs for services such as re-programming immobilisers.
- A 24-hour assistance line
- A nationwide network of locksmiths
- An Arnold Clark Insurance Services-branded key fob which offers a £10 reward for finders. Keycare’s branded fobs generate up to a 40% recovery rate for lost keys, according to the release.
“Losing your keys can cause great anxiety and inconvenience, so the peace of mind that this cover offers is significant,” said Eileen McFadden, general manager of Arnold Clark Insurance Services. “We chose Keycare because of their experience and knowledge working for the likes of
Adrian Flux,
Endsleigh and Forces Insurance, and because of their exceptional claims and customer service.”
“Replacing the average car lock set now costs £689, although some models now cost over £1,000 to replace,” said Keycare CEO David Robertson. “Given that nearly half (40%) of us have lost our keys in the last five years, we know that customers value our product very highly. It’s a relatively low-cost way for organisations to improve customer loyalty and goodwill.”
