Jensten Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of Richard Connop (pictured) as the new regional managing director for the Midlands region.
Connop, a seasoned professional with over 30 years in the industry, will be responsible for overseeing Jensten's retail offices in this area and spearheading business growth, including further acquisitions in the region.
According to his LinkedIn, his extensive experience in the insurance sector includes a significant tenure at Gallagher, where he most recently held the position of managing director at its Brierley Hill office for four years. His career at Gallagher began in 2005, where he has held various leadership roles, contributing to the company's development in different capacities.
During his time at Gallagher's Brierley Hill office, Connop's responsibilities included overseeing operations and leading teams to deliver positive outcomes for customers. His role encompassed supporting small businesses, clubs, and associations.
Additionally, he was in charge of new business sales and service teams for the company's bancassurance accounts, managing a substantial volume of new sales enquiries, servicing existing customers, and securing new clients monthly.
Connop, a graduate of Dartmouth High School in Great Barr, also holds a certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute (Cert CII), underscoring his professional expertise in the field.
In his new role at Jensten Insurance Brokers, Connop will leverage his extensive experience and industry knowledge to lead and develop the company's presence in the Midlands. His appointment is part of Jensten's strategic expansion and growth plans in the region.
