Duncan Howorth has been appointed executive chairman at Independent Transition Management (ITM) as the company begins to expand into offering its services to the insurance sector.
Howorth previously worked at Jardine Lloyd Thompson as CEO, UK Employee Benefits, and International Chairman, Employee Benefits. In a statement ITM said Howorth’s focus will be working with current management to support ITM’s expansion into the insurance industry, while also growing its traditional markets.
Managing director of ITM Guy Ridley said Howorth will play an important role in the company’s expansion.
“Duncan’s experience will help us to engage insurance clients with our range of data assurance, technology and operational solutions,” he said. “ITM is an ambitious company and we’re keen to invest and grow to help our clients with pragmatic solutions for today, as well as anticipating their future needs.”
Howorth said ITM is perfectly placed to expand into the insurance market, which is facing similar challenges as the pensions sector.
“I’m confident ITM will prove very appealing to insurance decision-makers looking for a trusted partner,” he said.
ITM was founded in 2003 as a data auditing agency for the pension industry.
