Risk Solved and Spectrum.Life have announced key leadership appointments as both companies focus on strategic growth and expansion within their respective markets.
Ian Micklewright (pictured above, left) has been appointed to the newly created role of chief operations officer to support the company’s strategic direction and global growth plans.
Micklewright joins from ALPS Group, bringing experience in senior operational management and IT software development within the UK insurance market.
Alongside this appointment, Paul Davies has been named chief financial officer. Davies, who joined the company in April 2024 as head of finance, will also join the board.
In a statement, Micklewright said it is the company’s core proposition that sparked his interest in joining. “I’m delighted to be joining the Risk Solved management team, working with their highly capable software development and delivery team and will be focusing on the continued successful delivery of our global solution to both existing and new clients.”
“Both the appointment of Ian as COO and Paul joining the board as CFO strengthens our executive team as we continue to build our position in the market and reputation as a global leading risk management software solutions provider,” said Jason Moseley, chief executive officer of the company.
Spectrum.Life has appointed Ian Ranger (pictured above, right) as head of insurance for the UK and Ireland, as part of its strategy to expand in the insurance sector.
Ranger has more than 17 years of experience in the protection market, with previous roles at Canada Life and MetLife. He will lead Spectrum.Life’s insurance growth strategy, focusing on insurer partnerships and intermediary relationships across the UK and Ireland.
Ranger expressed his excitement in joining the company at a “pivotal” time, noting that there is “tremendous” opportunity to develop offerings for its clients.
“As companies navigate shifting market dynamics, macroeconomic challenges and technological advancements, Spectrum.Life will be at the forefront, helping them to stay ahead in this dynamic industry,” he added.
Spectrum.Life said it is planning to add 200 new roles across the UK, Ireland and remote positions by the end of 2025. It has also expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Andrew Macadam as vice president of customer operations.
