Apollo Syndicate Management appoints non-executive director
Apollo Syndicate Management has appointed Mike Krefta (pictured top, left) as a non-executive director, subject to regulatory approval.
H.W. International B.V. names chief commercial officer
H.W. International B.V. has appointed Jeroen Everling (pictured top, right) as chief commercial officer, effective April 1.
Everling, who has over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry, has held senior positions at companies such as WTW, Aon, and Howden. He will focus on driving the company’s global expansion and M&A activities, helping to further develop the company’s international business, particularly in Germany, Spain, Portugal, Australia, and the Netherlands.
Momentum Broker Solutions appoints broker relationship manager
Momentum Broker Solutions has appointed Joe Hall (pictured immediately above) as broker relationship manager.
With 14 years of experience across various roles in the insurance industry, Joe has worked with brokers, MGAs and underwriters, managing relationships with a range of brokers from small businesses to large firms.
His appointment forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen Momentum’s leadership team, following the earlier addition of John Adey as financial director.
In his new position, Hall will focus on expanding relationships with broker partners across the north of UK.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance names head of underwriting in Europe
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Louise Kidd to head of underwriting in Europe.
Kidd, who has 22 years of experience in the industry, joined BHSI in 2020 and has held various senior roles, including country manager for Ireland and global financial lines underwriting officer.
In her new role, Louise will continue to serve as global financial lines underwriting officer and will work closely with country managers to implement strategies across BHSI’s European product lines.
MAPFRE appoints general manager of MAPFRE Inmuebles
MAPFRE has announced the appointment of Carlos Diaz Gridilla (pictured immediately above) as general manager of MAPFRE Inmuebles, effective May 1. Gridilla succeeds Alfredo Muñoz, who is retiring after more than 27 years with the company.
Gridilla, who has been with MAPFRE since 2016, previously served as assistant general manager at MAPFRE Inmuebles.
Tokio Marine HCC names regional head of compliance, UK and Europe
Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) International has promoted David Feldman to regional head of compliance, UK and Europe.
Feldman, who has nearly two decades of experience at TMHCC, will take on this expanded role from April 1. Prior to joining TMHCC, David worked at Brit and Lloyd’s as a regulatory officer.
