Flood Re and Consilium have both announced senior leadership changes aimed at reinforcing their strategic direction.
Flood Re has confirmed several executive appointments following the arrival of CEO Perry Thomas in February. The reshuffle is intended to support the reinsurer’s mission of managing the transition to risk-reflective flood insurance pricing ahead of its planned exit from the market in 2039.
Latinka Pilipovic has been named chief financial officer and board member, effective August 1, subject to regulatory approval. Pilipovic was most recently CFO at Guardian Financial Services and has held senior roles at Foresters Financial UK, Legal & General and Aviva. Interim CFO Dave Dunning will step down following a handover period.
Dan Byrne (pictured above, left), currently chief risk officer, has been promoted to chief commercial officer. He will continue in his CRO role until an interim replacement is appointed. Byrne joined Flood Re in 2016 and has served as CRO since 2017.
Consilium, the global specialty re/insurance arm of the Aventum Group, has announced the appointment of Peter Coleman to its senior leadership team as part of its continued expansion strategy.
Coleman will join the business following his notice period at Guy Carpenter Facultative, where he most recently served as managing director and global head of placement. His previous roles include senior positions at Agora Syndicate and Ironshore, with a focus on the London Market.
Consilium said Coleman brings significant experience in specialty insurance and will play a key role in its growth across emerging lines.
