Chubb and Malago Insurance have announced key leadership appointments as they continue to strengthen their operations.
Ana Robic (pictured above, left) takes on the role of regional president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, succeeding David Furby (pictured above, centre), who will become executive chairman for the region.
Robic was senior vice president of Chubb Group and currently serves as division president of the company’s personal risk services in North America.
In her new role, Robic will have executive operating responsibility for Chubb’s European business, including in the UK, continental Europe, Chubb Global Markets, the Middle East and Africa. She will report to Paul McNamee, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Chubb Overseas General Insurance.
Furby, on the other hand, will oversee strategy and governance for Chubb’s general insurance business in the region. He will continue as a member of Chubb’s European Group’s board and chair its underwriting risk committee.
Meanwhile, Melissa Scheffler (pictured above, right), who is currently chief operating officer, will succeed Robic as president of Chubb’s personal risk services in North America. She is currently the chief operating officer of PRS. She also previously served as regional executive officer for the mid-Atlantic region and held positions as regional COO, Pittsburgh branch manager and New Jersey marketing manager.
In her role, she will work with Mathew Rowles, the company’s director. “Julieanne’s knowledge and rapport with clients is second to none,” Rowles commented. “Her appointment to Malago will ensure we continue to offer enhanced service levels in Bristol and the surrounding areas.”
