Two firms in the insurance industry have announced big name moves to bolster their leadership.

Agria onboards new Europe head

Agria Pet Insurance has appointed Christina Almtun as its new head of European operations, effective August 18, 2025.

Almtun will lead the company's existing markets in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, with a mandate to explore further European expansion.

"We are pleased to welcome Christina to Agria as part of our continued growth journey," said David Haak, CEO of Agria. Almtun brings extensive industry experience, most recently serving as commercial head at Svedea for 13 years and holding multiple leadership positions at If, focusing on business development and strategic integration.

TMHCCI appoints cargo expert

Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) has strengthened its marine insurance capabilities with the appointment of cargo expert Rebecca Eagles as senior underwriter for its marine cargo division in London.

Eagles joins TMHCCI with over a decade of industry experience, most recently at Miller Insurance Services, where she served as a senior broker in the cargo and stock throughput division. Her career trajectory includes progressive roles at Gallagher and Ramon International Insurance Brokers.

"Rebecca's extensive experience in the marine cargo market makes her an invaluable addition to our team," said Richard Golder, head of marine cargo at TMHCCI. "We take pride in only hiring the best and brightest from across the industry."
