ARAG has snapped up a major name in Chris Morter for the role of before-the-event (BTE) underwriting manager.
Morter, who is president of the Insurance Institute of Bristol, will be overseeing the underwriting of all of ARAG’s BTE legal expenses and assistance services business. The experienced underwriter started his insurance career at Aviva in 2003.
“It’s great to welcome Chris to the team,” commented David Haynes, underwriting and marketing director at ARAG. “As well as being a very highly qualified and skilled underwriter, he also brings a lot of specific legal expenses insurance experience with him, which is invaluable.”
The Chartered insurer moved into legal expenses insurance in 2009.
Meanwhile also coming onboard are David Johnson as BTE senior claims handler; Amelia Richards, compliance advisor; Abi Green, product development advisor; and Galina Deneff, product development analyst.
