Several insurers and insurance-related firms have announced key executive appointments as they continue to develop their leadership teams and drive strategic growth.
HDI Global has appointed Geoff Godwin (pictured above, left) as chief operating officer for the UK and Ireland, effective April 28. Godwin will join the executive team and reports to Stephanie Ogden, chief executive officer of HDI Global UK and Ireland.
Godwin has 32 years of industry experience and previously served as chief operating officer at AIG. In that role, he was responsible for various operational areas, including underwriting operations, customer complaints and conduct, and product development oversight.
DUAL UK announced three senior appointments to support its growth strategy. Steve Kelly has been appointed managing director of construction; James Ramira was named managing director of regional P&C and social care, and Georgie Petrou was appointed head of strategic accounts.
Ramira, who has been with DUAL UK since 2014, will continue to lead the social care and commercial underwriting teams while overseeing regional and commercial expansion.
Lockton has appointed Mark Jones (pictured above, right) as its new international chief financial officer, effective immediately. Jones joins from Marsh, where he was CFO for Mercer Marsh Benefits and CFO for Marsh Specialty and Global Placement. He has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in the global insurance brokerage sector. As international CFO, Jones will oversee financial management and investment strategies across Europe, MENA, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
Carrow Insurance has appointed Matt Davis as business development underwriter. Davis will be based in Dublin and report to CEO Ronan Conboy.
Davis has over 30 years of industry experience and was previously head of underwriting at Euro Insurances DAC, where he managed a portfolio spanning 14 product lines across 20 European countries.
