Insurance Business UK has published its 2024 list of the leading insurance brokerages.
The 5-Star Brokerages report recognises firms that have demonstrated strong performance based on several business metrics from 2022 and 2023.
To be eligible for the rankings, brokerages were required to meet specific criteria, including having at least two brokers and being headquartered within the UK.
Firms were asked to submit detailed business information, including revenue figures, policies written, number of clients, and profit margins over the two-year period.
The ranking was determined by evaluating brokerages on five key areas:
Each firm was ranked separately for each category, and then those rankings were combined to create an overall score. The final list was based on these aggregate scores, with lower totals indicating higher performance.
Unlike traditional rankings that emphasise firm size, Insurance Business UK’s methodology focuses on performance per broker, allowing smaller brokerages to be recognised alongside larger firms for their business achievements.
