Industry stalwart joins City Underwriters

Seasoned insurance executive Jamie Lewis (pictured) has made the switch to Jensten Group’s City Underwriters.

Coming onboard in his capacity as managing director for bespoke wholesale, Lewis brings nearly three decades of experience from the likes of Allianz, AXA, NIG, and RSA. He most recently served as commercial branches head at LV= Broker.   

“I’m really excited to be joining City Underwriters and being part of the Jensten family,” commented Lewis, who will be in charge of the day-to-day running of City Underwriters. “With strong financial backing, there is a clear desire to grow the business both organically and through acquisition.

“The combined retail and wholesale capability of the wider group, through its Coversure and Policyfast businesses, makes this a really unique and compelling opportunity.”

Meanwhile Jensten wholesale managing director Simon Taylor, citing Lewis’s outstanding track record and industry knowledge, described the key hire as “the natural choice” to take City Underwriters forward.
