Rokstone’s UK farm and agriculture unit, iFarm Underwriting, has appointed two senior underwriters to expand its team, adding expertise in farm insurance.
Aidan Lennon joins iFarm as underwriter, bringing over 20 years of industry experience. Previously a senior underwriter at Geo Agriculture, Lennon has also held positions with Oyster Risk Solutions and Direct Line Group, specialising in agricultural underwriting for over a decade.
Mark Williamson, meanwhile, has also been appointed as agricultural underwriter, adding a decade of specialised experience to iFarm from his role as a senior underwriter at Geo Agriculture.
The new hires bring a combined 30 years of experience in agricultural underwriting. The appointments are also expected to strengthen iFarm’s underwriting team and enhance service delivery for brokers.
Lee Ellis, head of iFarm Underwriting, stated that Lennon and Williamson bring both talent and a fresh perspective to the team.
“Experienced and highly specialised they’ll bring a new injection of underwriting talent and a fresh perspective to our established underwriting team. Broker service remains a key priority for iFarm - we’ve invested heavily in our underwriting talent and innovation over the past 12 months and with first class A rated capacity on board we’re now well positioned for continued growth in 2025,” Ellis said.
iFarm provides a range of insurance solutions tailored for the agricultural sector, focusing on the needs of farmers and agribusinesses. The company supports clients with a team of specialist underwriters.
In other news for its parent company Rokstone, the specialty re/insurance MGA has announced an increase in its directors’ and officers’ (D&O) line size from £5 million to £10 million.
The company notes that the expansion in capacity comes entirely from Lloyd’s syndicates.
