HSB (UK and Ireland), a Munich Re-backed specialist engineering and technology insurer, has created a new commercial division.
The new division offers an enhanced proposition to brokers, insurers, and MGAs and aligns HSB’s business development, underwriting, and claims teams.
The division’s establishment is part of HSB’s customer experience strategy and follows the launch of HSB’s engineering inspection and equipment breakdown products on its e-trade platforms in the UK. Terry Dyson (pictured), commercial director at HSB, will lead the new commercial division.
Dyson commented that combining the business development, underwriting, and claims teams enables the insurer to deepen customer relationships along the whole customer journey.
“Together, as the commercial division, we are building a greater solution for our customers, which enables us to react to market challenges and deliver a sector-leading customer experience,” he said.
