Howden Scotland expands UK footprint with Glasgow acquisition

Howden Scotland (formerly Bruce Stevenson) has officially revealed its acquisition of Neilson Laurence & Neil, UK-based specialists in business insurance located in Glasgow. This move represents a strategic initiative by Howden to strengthen its foothold in Scotland.

The integration of Neilson Laurence & Neil into the Howden Glasgow team will expand the portfolio of insurance and risk management solutions available to clients, significantly broadening the range of services provided, including D&O, PI, and motor offerings.

This transaction aligns with Howden UK&I's overarching growth strategy, aiming to fortify its extensive geographic presence and deepen its product line expertise within the UK market.

Elsewhere in the continent, Howden has also announced significant strides in its European expansion strategy with two key acquisitions in the Low Countries.
