Global insurance group Howden has welcomed Chris Harvey (pictured above) to its south Wales team as its new commercial account executive, in line with the firm’s continued expansion.
He also had a prior role at Moorhouse Group, where he worked as a key account manager, as well as at the Devils Community Foundation and CCV Cardiff Insurance Brokers.
For this new function, Harvey will utilise his expertise to assist Howden’s commercial and corporate clients across all aspects of their insurance needs.
“I am thrilled to have joined the Howden team in south Wales, at what is a very exciting time for the business’s Welsh presence,” he said. “I was drawn to Howden due to its customer centricity.”
Harvey pointed out that the nature of Howden means no restrictions to place businesses with certain carriers, and that each day will be working towards achieving the best results for the insurer’s clients.
“Howden is very focused on looking after both its employees and clients, which is an important factor to me,” Harvey explained. “My main goal is to help as many businesses in Wales as possible, with honest and friendly advice that makes their lives easier.”
Howden regional managing director Gary Stevens welcomed Harvey to the role, calling him an “invaluable addition” to the firm’s Welsh team, noting he had already shown exceptional skill during his time with the company.
“Chris’s board-level experience within a fast-growing business puts him in a great position to help our clients, and we are delighted to have him on board as we continue to build a solid community in south and west Wales,” Stevens said.
“After two successful office openings this year, I hope to further cement our position as a leader in the south and west Wales commercial broking sector, and in doing so, support our local community and groups wherever we can.”
Elsewhere in the region, Howden also recently announced that it is supporting one of West Wales’ most notable events, with the firm revealed as a deluxe sponsor of The Big Beer Festival.
