The LTA has entered into a three-year partnership with global insurance intermediary Howden, effective through to 2027.

As part of the agreement, Howden will become an official partner of the LTA and will help expand tennis and padel initiatives in communities across the UK.

Howden will also continue its role as the LTA’s official insurance broker, a position it has held for nearly two decades. The company’s sport & entertainment division will provide insurance services for a range of tennis stakeholders, from local clubs to professional tournaments.

The partnership will support over 3,500 LTA-registered venues and coaches, with Howden’s network of more than 200 UK offices connecting local clubs with national events, including those in Eastbourne and Birmingham as part of the LTA’s grass court season. Additionally, LTA Advantage members will have the opportunity to enter prize draws for events such as the HSBC Championships.

Howden stated that both it and the LTA share a commitment to supporting grassroots sport and community engagement. The company also noted that the deal complements its wider sponsorship portfolio, which includes partnerships with Royal Ascot, the British and Irish Lions, and Emirates GBR in the SailGP series.

Meanwhile, the announcement follows a series of recent developments for Howden in the UK market.

In February, Auxillis has partnered with Howden UK&I’s corporate and commercial division to provide claims management services. The agreement includes first notification of loss (FNOL), vehicle replacement, repair coordination, and other post-incident services. The financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed.

The service will be offered to Howden’s corporate clients, helping streamline post-incident processes, including liability assessments, vehicle recovery, and arranging replacement vehicles.

Additionally, Howden has acquired Forbes Insurance Limited and the business portfolio from Hill Aviation Insurance Services Limited. Both will operate under the Howden name and form a new retail aviation division within Howden UK&I. The new division will establish an office in Leicester, further expanding the company’s UK and Ireland network, which includes more than 200 offices.
