Specialist insurer Hiscox has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Louise Marling (pictured) as chief operating officer in the UK.
She joined the company in December 2019 as interim change director.
In her new role, Marling will be tasked with building on Hiscox’s “customer-focused” culture and will look for opportunities to improve customer experience. She will be based in Colchester and report directly to UK chief operating officer Bob Thaker.
Prior to joining Hiscox, Marling served as chief operating officer at global health insurer William Russell. She also held several operational positions at industry giant Aviva’s UK and US arms.
“It’s great to have Louise on board permanently – her operational expertise and wealth of industry experience make her an excellent addition to our senior team,” Thaker said. “Over the past few months Louise has successfully led us through some challenging and complex change projects, making invaluable contributions in a short time, so her expertise will be well placed as we continue to evolve the business for growth.”
