Carlisle-based H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) has strengthened its business team to address growing client demand. The expansion includes new hires and internal promotions, enhancing the firm’s capacity to deliver insurance solutions.
The revamped business team, led by head of commercial Kara Jenkinson (pictured), consists of account executives Lee Sparrow and Ruth Wallbank; account handler Tom McGaffin; commercial brokers Rachel Neile and Kirsty Glencross; and apprentice account executive Ellie Slack. Collectively, they bring more than 80 years of industry expertise.
“Our focus on providing a locally based service has seen our client base grow as more people look for a dedicated, personal service, rather than dealing with a faceless call centre,” Jenkinson said. “As a team we bring together a range of specialist skills, industry knowledge and expertise so we can build on that success and continue to deliver a great service for our clients.”
HHIB, recognised for its services in agriculture and rural industries, has seen significant growth in sectors such as tourism, hospitality, and transport, according to a news release. The company collaborates with businesses, offering bespoke insurance solutions.
The news release noted that the team expansion aligns with HHIB’s broader growth strategy, which includes the recent addition of new staff and the opening of an office in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. The firm now operates from six regional offices across the North of England, the Scottish Borders, and Wales.
Paul Graham, managing director of HHIB, emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting businesses. “The expansion of the business team signals our intention to grow our client base across the business sector,” he said. “Our focus is on supporting businesses through providing trusted advice and the right policies so they have the peace of mind that they are protected whatever the future may bring.”
Established nearly 40 years ago, HHIB is one of the UK’s leading independent insurance brokers. It is part of H&H Group plc, a diversified company offering services across livestock, property, and auctioneering sectors.
