HDI Global Specialty UK has appointed Kirsten Westly (pictured) as its newest claims director.
Westly will report to HDI Global Specialty UK managing director and CUO Rafael Rebitzky; her appointment takes effect November 1. Westly also succeeds the outgoing Clare Constable, who will leave the company in November.
A qualified solicitor with more than 15 years’ insurance market experience, Westly joined HDI two years ago. She is currently heading the insurer’s financial and professional lines claims team. Prior to joining HDI, Westly had worked for companies such as The Hartford and Navigators.
“Since joining HDI, Kirsten has provided strong leadership to the Financial and Professional Lines claims team, said Rafael Rebitzky. “She has built a very capable team that has provided excellent claims handling service to our broker partners.”
Rebitzky additionally commented that he has no doubt that Westly will “continue the strong focus on claims handling excellence that has become embedded within the team,” adding that HDI thanks Clare for all her work and wishes her success in the future.
Earlier this month, HDI restructured its underwriting function into six divisions to better align its business to clients and brokers.
