Haven Financial Solutions, the name behind a host of brands including Haven Life Insurance and Haven Health Insurance, has swooped for an industry veteran as it looks to expand its insurance department.
Incoming is Rachel Isles (pictured), who offers 20 years of experience. She joins the firm as a family and business protection specialist having worked as a protection specialist at a mortgage firm and spending several years with Barclays previously.
According to Isles, Haven, which provides critical illness cover, key person cover, mortgage life cover, private health insurance and shareholder protection, aligns perfectly with her skills and ethos. It’s also a move she is particularly keen to make given the present climate.
“The need for protection never goes away, but the coronavirus crisis has brought it into focus,” she said. “One thing businesses have realised is how important their people are. Should a key worker or partner become ill or have to self-isolate it really can create huge problems.
“What I do for families and businesses is identify the risks and work out a plan to mitigate them and advise on insurance. It is often much cheaper than people realise and really does provide peace of mind.”
Managing director Matt Thomas also believes there is increasing demand for the product currently, and that Isles is the right person to take the business forward.
“Rachel is qualified, has an impeccable financial services record and is driven and committed,” he said.
“She is passionate about providing the right protection and she is already proving a great fit for Haven Life Insurance.”
