Corby-based Hallsdale Insurance has acquired Leicester-based ABR Insurance
(Allbright Bishop Rowley Insurance).
ABR co-owners Simon and Gill Allbright (pictured) will remain in the business, at the same premises with the existing team.
“We now become part of a bigger team by merging with Hallsdale Insurance, with more insurer schemes and lots of support across all aspects of our business,” said Simon Allbright. “We remain fully committed to growing the business further over the coming years and working closely with Angela [May, managing director] and Simon [Drysdale, director] at Hallsdale, who we have got to know well and are excited to be partnering with to develop ABR Insurance further.”
The announcement follows news the Broker Investment Group, of which Hallsdale is part, is on track for the £250 million GWP target set in 2022. Hallsdale Insurance now controls £5 million of GWP, with further acquisitions planned in the next 12-24 months.
In addition to the acquisition announcement, Hallsdale Insurance has revealed a new logo (pictured below) and strapline as part of its rebranding plans.
May welcomed the announcements, noting the acquisition of ABR Insurance is aligned with Hallsdale’s plans to expand its footprint in the Midlands insurance broking market.
“Thanks to The Broker Investment Group for supporting this deal and helping with the due diligence,
we are proud of this investment and sincerely welcome Simon, Gill, their team and their clients to
the Hallsdale Insurance family,” said May. “With this acquisition and also the rebrand, it’s been a memorable few months for Hallsdale Insurance and we are looking forward to a stellar 2024.”
