International re/insurance company ANV has added XL Catlin executive Simon Fragiacomo to its managing general underwriting arm.
The industry player has appointed Fragiacomo as professional lines underwriter for ANV Global Services, effective immediately.
In his new role, Fragiacomo will be responsible for growing the professional lines portfolio in France and other French-speaking areas in Europe.
He will be based in Barcelona and will report to Dennis Gattinger, professional lines underwriting director.
“Simon’s expertise and his experience with the French speaking market make him an excellent addition to ANV’s European Professional Lines team,” Gattinger said.
“His familiarity with French companies’ D&O requirements will allow us to better serve our clients in that region and more accurately anticipate the market’s needs,” he added.
With Fragiacomo’s appointment, ANV can now offer expertise and solutions to French clients in their local language, Gattinger also said.
“We continue to focus on the significant opportunities we see in both the large corporate and SME spaces, as well as in niche sectors across Europe.”
Fragiacomo has seven years of experience in the professional lines market. He most recently served as financial institutions underwriter for France at XL Catlin in Paris.
