Gallagher UK non-executive chair Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley (pictured left with Lord Mayor Alderman Nicholas Lyons) and SiriusPoint chair Alderman Bronek Masojada (pictured right) have assumed their roles as City of London Sheriffs.
As reported by Insurance Business in June, the two were elected three months ago to succeed Alderman Alastair King and Andrew Marsden. They took office on Thursday, commencing their terms at the Old Bailey.
Among those in attendance during the admission ceremony was Marsh McLennan’s international director of external affairs and media relations Jason Groves, who is proud of the Sheriffs and Lord Mayor’s insurance backgrounds.
A great day for the insurance industry in the @cityoflondon with the two newly installed sheriffs - Dame Susan Langley and Bronek Masojada, as well as the sitting @citylordmayor, all from industry. Surely a first! pic.twitter.com/6E7zuFM9yf
