Gallagher has announced the appointment of Georgia Leigh (pictured above, left) as managing director of its Leicester office, part of its extensive branch network serving businesses and individuals across the UK.
In her new role, Leigh will oversee the Leicester office, which employs around 50 staff and serves medium to large businesses in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, financial services, and property.
Her focus will be on expanding the Leicester team through local recruitment and ensuring that clients receive comprehensive insurance advice and products.
Leigh joined Gallagher in 2021 as client services manager, where she was responsible for overseeing 17 account executives. Before joining Gallagher, she served as head of the Midlands at Erskine Murray Insurance Brokers and has also held positions at Willis Towers Watson and Towergate.
Leigh succeeds Chris Noah (pictured above, right), who led the Leicester office for over four years after joining Gallagher in 2013. Noah, meanwhile, will transition to a new role as managing director of Gallagher’s UK & Ireland Retail renewable energy practice, which provides risk management advice and insurance solutions to firms of varying sizes within the renewable energy sector.

Both Leigh and Noah will report to Elaine Lennox, regional managing director of the Midlands at Gallagher. Lennox commented that Leigh is a well-established leader within the Leicester office and expressed confidence in her ability to lead the team.
“Georgia’s appointment is an example of how we at Gallagher invest in our existing talent and promote from within. Chris has done a brilliant job over the years leading the Leicester office and will now play an integral role in building our renewable energy practice,” Lennox said.
Leigh also emphasized that the Leicester office works closely with businesses that are vital to the regional economy and that the team provides tailored insurance advice and services.
