Gallagher has unveiled a series of regional leadership appointments within its UK & Ireland retail division. The changes, focused on the company’s operations in Northern England and Scotland, span 14 regional offices and 750 employees.
Mark Kerry (pictured), previously the leader of Gallagher’s Glasgow office, has been promoted to regional managing director for Scotland and Northern Ireland. He will oversee teams in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Aberdeen, and the Isle of Skye. Kerry brings significant regional experience to his new role, a news release highlighted.
In the North West, James Fletcher (pictured) steps into the position of regional managing director. He will lead operations in Manchester, Sale, and Liverpool, building on his previous experience managing Gallagher’s Manchester office.
James Murray (pictured), formerly responsible for Gallagher’s Leeds office, assumes the role of regional managing director of the North East. His expanded responsibilities now include leadership of teams in Newcastle, Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, Wakefield, and Sheffield.
All three appointees will report to Peter Matthews, managing director of the North for Gallagher’s UK & Ireland retail division. Matthews, in a statement, noted the company’s recent growth and expressed confidence in the new leadership team.
“Our business in the North has seen strong organic growth over recent years, and these appointments enhance my leadership team and give us a springboard for further profitable growth—both organic and through acquisitions,” said Matthews. “I am particularly pleased that we have filled these key roles with existing members of the Gallagher team, demonstrating the strong talent we have in the business and our commitment to career development.”
Matthews added that the appointments will support Gallagher’s strategy to strengthen its corporate offerings, expand specialisms, and reinforce its position as the UK’s largest general insurance broker.
Gallagher, a global insurance brokerage and consulting firm headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, operates in more than 130 countries through a network of brokers and consultants.
