Global specialty insurer Fortegra has appointed Abbie Taylor as chief operating officer and Joe Lettween as chief innovation, data science, and technology officer.
According to the Tiptree Inc. subsidiary, the appointments expand the expertise and experience of its senior leadership across the US, the UK, and Europe.
As COO, Taylor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and leading strategic growth initiatives. She joins Fortegra from Asurion where she served as the head of client operations for strategic accounts, developing portfolio strategy and driving improvements in digital services, supply chain management, and customer service. Her experience in global management and strategy roles spans nearly two decades.
Meanwhile, in his role as chief innovation, data science, and technology officer, Lettween will take charge of Fortegra’s efforts to scale efficiently and securely through technology as he leverages his expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence strategies, data productions, and process automation. Prior to joining Fortegra, he was the principal and head of data & analytics at Osso Capital.
In a release, CEO Rick Kahlbaugh expressed his excitement about the new additions to Fortegra’s leadership team and highlighted the crucial roles that both Taylor and Lettween will play in the company’s continued strategic and organic growth.
“Both Abbie and Joe are deeply committed to driving operational excellence and innovation, which are key components in delivering value to our stakeholders,” Kahlbaugh said.
In February, Fortegra announced that it acquired a majority interest in Premia Solutions Limited, a UK-based intermediary specialising in automotive protection products. The acquisition marked another step in Fortegra’s rapid growth strategy across Europe and the UK, where it first expanded in 2017.
