Clive Nathan (pictured), chief executive at Towergate Underwriting for a decade from 2006, has been named incoming CEO of the MGA division at Global Risk Partners (GRP).
The key hire will be taking the helm to succeed Stephen Ross, GRP’s chief operating officer who has overseen the unit’s rapid growth to over £100 million in gross written premium. Ross will be focusing on M&A activity amid the firm’s UK expansion in the areas of broking and underwriting.
“I am delighted to be joining the group as it continues its exciting trajectory in the UK insurance market,” commented Nathan, who comes onboard next month. “Its MGA division comprises a number of highly regarded specialty businesses, and I look forward to working with them and the executive team at GRP.”
“Clive is joining the group at a time when we are looking to expand significantly our MGA business with further acquisitions, hard on the heels of the investment in Camberford Law,” said GRP chair Peter Cullum.
