Independent insurance intermediary FOCUS Oxford Risk Management Ltd is now part of Partners&.
In an announcement by Partners&, the Chartered insurance brokerage said the move is in line with its strategy of combining the best traditions of broking with intelligent use of technology. The ‘modern-thinking’ organisation did not disclose financial details of the deal.
Reporting to chief executive Phil Barton, FOCUS managing director Nick Jones (pictured) will come onboard the group executive committee at Partners& in his new capacity as managing partner for markets.
“Joining forces with Phil and the team is a great next step in our development, both for our clients and our people,” asserted Jones, whose Oxford-based staff provides specialist insurance advice and can place business in the whole of the market.
“We share a similar culture and a common vision, so in many ways it will be business as usual. There is no doubt we will benefit from the experience of working with some of the best talent in the industry, while our clients can benefit from the extended range of services we can now provide as a part of Partners&.”
Barton, meanwhile, is thrilled with the arrival of the 16-strong roster.
