Aspen Insurance UK Limited (AIUK) has a new chair in the form of Theresa Froehlich.
The announcement was made by parent firm Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, which said Froehlich will also serve as a non-executive director (NED) not only of AIUK but of Aspen Managing Agency Limited (AMAL) as well.
Froehlich was with Lloyd’s of London from 2010 to 2016 and has since held board roles at several organisations. At Lloyd’s, the Swiss Re alumnus served as underwriting performance head before taking on the position of interim director of performance management.
Meanwhile, also joining Aspen as NED of both AIUK and AMAL is Natalie Waller – the head of State Street Global Advisors Global Equity Solutions London until March 2019. Her experience includes time spent at fund manager Gartmore and investment bank Nomura.
“I am delighted that Theresa and Natalie are joining the boards of AIUK and AMAL and that Theresa will serve as chair of AIUK,” commented Aspen executive chair and group chief executive Mark Cloutier.
“Their excellent understanding of the financial services and insurance sectors, across a range of senior roles and disciplines, will add further strength to the experience we have on our UK boards.”
