Bluefin Insurance has acquired Liverpool-based Exchange Insurance Services, an independent insurance broker. This transaction is Bluefin’s fourth successful acquisition since the start of 2016, following Alverton Insurance Brokers, Wilbourn Insurance Services, and Grampian insurance.
The acquisition will expand Bluefin’s footprint in Northwest England, by bringing in a second office in the city. Bluefin has moved the staff of Alverton Insurance to their Stockton branch and the teams from Wilbourn and Grampian have transferred to Bluefin’s existing office in Forfar, Scotland.
Robert Organ, CEO of Bluefin, said about the acquisitions, “It is a pleasure for us to welcome these latest acquisitions to the Bluefin Group and to expand our presence. Our regional footprint is an important part of Bluefin’s DNA and we are committed to helping our new colleagues settle in quickly with minimal disruption to clients.
“We continue to look for strategically important brokers of all sizes to join us in providing specialist insurance cover to clients nationwide.”
Peter Gradwell, director of Exchange Insurance Services, added, “I am delighted to have completed the deal to join Bluefin. We have over forty years of experience as an independent commercial broker in Merseyside and are excited to now join a sizeable broker with the right influence and understanding of the markets and clients we deal with.”
