Specialist motor insurer ERS has announced plans to fill 50 job vacancies at its Swansea headquarters over the next few months. The move is part of a substantial investment in its largest office, driven by the company’s rapid growth in recent years.
ERS currently employs nearly 500 people at its 33,000-square-foot site in Crucible Park, Swansea Vale. The company first established its presence in Swansea in 1994 and subsequently relocated several skilled roles from London to the area in 2015.
This latest recruitment initiative aims to position ERS as an employer of choice in the region, offering career opportunities and professional development in various skilled and technical roles that were traditionally scarce within the financial services sector in South Wales.
The roles that ERS is seeking to fill include underwriting, claims, project managers, business analysts, system testers, as well as niche specialisms such as technical IT, counter-fraud, personal injury, risk management, governance, and compliance.
“We have a long-term commitment to South Wales and are thrilled to be contributing to the local economy with this new recruitment drive,” said active underwriter Martin Hall. “At ERS, we believe in nurturing local talent and providing career development opportunities to individuals of all ages. We encourage anyone interested in joining our dynamic team to explore the available positions and apprenticeship opportunities.”
Operating through an extensive network of insurance brokers and backed by Lloyd’s Syndicate 218, ERS provides coverage for a diverse range of vehicles, including supercars, private cars, classic cars, vans, taxis, minibuses, fleets, agricultural vehicles, and special commercial vehicles. Its coverage extends from everyday vehicles to unique events like the Gumball 3000 Rally.
individuals interested in joining ERS’s team can submit their applications via the careers page on the company’s website.
