Ecclesiastical hires underwriting head from Zurich

Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical has recruited Zurich executive Louise Moses, appointing her to a leading role within the company’s underwriting team.

 

Moses will be the underwriting performance director for general insurance in the UK. She will support all commercial insurance areas in delivering their targets while developing innovative underwriting solutions and backing major projects, initiatives and training.

 

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with the underwriting teams to continue developing their growing commercial portfolio,” said Moses, who joined Ecclesiastical citing its “customer focus, ethics and technical expertise.”

Moses most recently served as head of property for Zurich’s UK general insurance business. She led the underwriting and pricing strategy for the company and managed performance in those areas. Earlier in her career, Moses also held underwriting and sales roles at AIG, Chubb and Covea.
