DWF, a global provider of integrated legal and business services, has announced that it has bolstered its counter insurance fraud capabilities with the hiring of a six-strong team.
The entire team joins DWF from DAC Beachcroft, bringing with them significant counter fraud experience. Led by director Neville Sampson, other members of the team include senior associate Amy Goodwin, associate Cath Murdock, solicitor Rohini Kapoor and senior paralegal Fareen Akhtar. The final member of the team, Angela Tank, will join in early November.
Sampson has over 15 years of experience in fraud defence litigation and has worked with various insurers to develop fraud defence strategies.
The six will join DWF’s global counter fraud team in Birmingham, joining partners Miles Hepworth and Mike Henman.
“Neville and his team have an excellent reputation for client service and putting clients first in delivering a great service with great results,” said DWF partner and global head of fraud Lorraine Carolan. “I am really looking forward to working with the team and our clients to continue to innovate our legal services in combatting fraud.”
“I am delighted to welcome Neville and his team to DWF. Neville enjoys a market leading reputation and together with his team he will further strengthen our already class leading specialist fraud team operating across the UK and into Europe. This is a further sign of our commitment to the insurance and financial sector as well as to the growth of the wider DWF business,” added DWF global head of insurance Glyn Jones.
Last month, DWF became a gold sponsor for the Insurance Cultural Awareness Network (iCAN) – the second organization to do so, after Marsh. A volunteer-run network with more than 3,000 members, iCAN advocates multicultural inclusion across the insurance industry.
