Insurance law firm DWF has acquired Triton from its administrators, securing the future of the claims management service provider and saving its 215 employees.
The acquisition will see the Triton employees join DWF as the legal firm continues to expand its geographic presence and global insurance practice.
Triton works with insurers to manage claims across the UK and globally for financial lines, professional indemnity, general liability, and its property books of business.
As part of the deal, DWF has also acquired 3Sixty, Triton’s specialist software consultancy business that provides technical services to the insurance sector.

According to DWF, Triton’s offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London, Manchester and Dublin will be added to the legal firm’s existing UK and Irish footprint.
“There are clear synergies between our two businesses in terms of our client bases and industry sector knowledge,” said Andrew Leaitherland, managing partner and CEO of DWF.
“This acquisition will allow us to diversify our international network while also strengthening some of our key locations in the UK. We look forward to welcoming Triton’s people to DWF,” he added.
Triton CEO John Coleman said that DWF is an “excellent fit” to the claims management firm’s offering and culture.
“We have been actively looking at several different options for the succession of our business and are pleased to be joining up with a bigger and better resourced business,” he said.
