There will soon be a new face in the role of COO for the UK and Europe at the underwriting arm of Hyperion Insurance Group, DUAL.
That face belongs to Rebecca Ince (pictured) – a veteran of the industry who previously spent 18 years at Hiscox and who will take up her new position beginning September 01 reporting to group CEO of DUAL Richard Clapham.
“Rebecca brings an in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry to the role of COO, UK & Europe, and her understanding of today’s strategic business challenges makes her a natural fit for us and a valuable addition to our leadership team,” Clapham said. “As the largest international MGA with considerable bench strength, DUAL is well positioned to seize on the current market opportunities. Rebecca will play a key role in our strategy, including developing our scalable platform, as we continue to embed technology within the business to drive our ambitious plans.”
Clapham explained that DUAL has a “vision” to be the “best underwriting business” – and that Ince would help support that goal, especially given her time at Hiscox where she worked her way up to the role of CFO/COO of its MGA business unit.
“This is an exciting time to join DUAL, which has a long history of consistent underwriting performance and a strong reputation as the independent home for entrepreneurs,” she added. “My focus will be on ensuring operational systems and processes allow our underwriting teams continue to provide the highest-quality service to our brokers, capacity providers and clients.”
