Direct Line Insurance Group Plc (Direct Line Group or DLG), which recently announced the appointment of incoming chief executive Adam Winslow, has welcomed a new board member.
Effective August 31, current acting CEO Jon Greenwood joined the DLG board. The company said the approvals for Greenwood’s addition to the board have been forthcoming.
Greenwood, who has been holding the fort at the UK insurer since January 2023, is stepping back from his executive career once the leadership transition is complete. It was previously noted that he chose not to pursue the top post at DLG amid his plans to develop a portfolio career instead.
Prior to Greenwood stepping up as acting chief when Penny James left, he served as DLG’s chief commercial officer. He will be succeeded by Winslow early next year.
