Direct Line Insurance Group Plc (DLG) and American International Group (AIG) have revealed a new partnership.
Involving AIG Life Limited and DLG brands Direct Line and Churchill, the half-decade deal centres on a life insurance offering made available online and via phone. The proposition features optional critical illness coverage and what is described as a jargon-free application process.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of the five-year partnership with AIG,” commented DLG household & partnerships managing director Kate Syred.
“For us it’s incredibly important to be able to offer customers insurance that is not only easy to buy, but that is affordable and provides the reassurance and support when they really need it.”
According to the announcement, the average time taken to complete an AIG Life online life insurance application is a little over six and a half minutes. If happy with the quote, customers can be insured in less than 10 minutes.
AIG Life partnerships director Nicola Dryden said: “AIG’s life insurance products are designed with one thing in mind – to protect the things that matter most. That’s why Direct Line Group‘s easy to understand insurance ethos really resonates with us. By working together, we can offer more families simple financial protection.”
Meanwhile Syred also cited customers’ rapidly evolving needs and the advantage of being able to adapt and be flexible. “We believe AIG has the ability to build propositions that are just right for our customers,” stated the DLG executive.
