International (re)insurance group Direct Insurance Group has welcomed Matt Field (pictured), who has been with the group since 2016, to its board as group sales & marketing director.
In 2016, Field joined Direct Insurance Group as a business development manager for the north for its UK wholesale broking business Direct Insurance London Market (DILM). In 2017, he took the head of marketing & development role responsible for the sales and business development teams. He also served as the head of group marketing and UK sales.
Commenting on his new role, Field said: “I’m delighted and honoured to be appointed to the board. Anyone who knows me also knows that Direct Insurance runs through my veins – like a stick of rock.
“I’ve been with the group now for just five years, but in that short time, I’ve been a part of their hugely exciting journey and can’t wait for the next chapter,” he continued. “Its infectious entrepreneurial spirit drives us all forward – you can’t help but be impressed by the people and the group’s collective ambition.”
Direct Insurance Group chief executive officer David Bearman, who was “delighted” to welcome Field to the board, commented: “He’s a really nice guy. He’s talented, driven, and committed to our vision.
