There are only two weeks left before nominations are closed for the upcoming Council of Lloyd’s election that is taking place in December.
“Valid nomination forms must be received by the appointed scrutineers, Civica Election Services, via Civica’s nomination submission webpage or via email not later than 1pm on October 31, 2022,” said Lloyd’s in its notice of election.
The December voting will determine who will replace Aon’s Dominic Christian as a working member of the Lloyd’s Council. Christian, who serves as Lloyd’s deputy chair, is set to see his term of office expire at the end of January next year.
“In accordance with the Constitutional Arrangements Byelaw (No. 2 of 2010), the Council has set a ballot date of December 9, 2022, to elect one working member of the council,” noted Lloyd’s.
“The term of office for the working member seat on the council shall commence on February 1, 2023, and shall be for three years unless terminated earlier in accordance with paragraph 5.28 of the byelaw.”
The insurance marketplace added: “The byelaw permits service on the council of up to nine years in aggregate (in any non-executive capacity and including any time served on the franchise board) after which a three-year break is required.”
Christian was first elected in February 2014.
