Davies Group may have chalked up a series of North American acquisitions in recent times, but it still has its sights set firmly on the UK market too, as proven by its most recent swoop.
The company has snapped up BMTS, the motor inspections and engineering business, based in Scotland. It offers vehicle inspection and expert witness services to not only the insurance industry, but also the legal and private sectors too. Now, it is set to become part of Davies’s existing specialist motor engineering business which offers services such as collision investigation, vehicle assessments and failure analysis.
The move will see Kevin Miles retain his role leading the day-to-day operations of the business, but now reporting in to head of motor engineering and supply chain, Amy Isherwood.
“I am pleased to welcome the BMTS colleaguest o Davies. The team has an excellent reputation in the market and bring a wealth of knowledge and new technical skills to Davies,” said group CEO Dan Saulter. “The deal extends our motor engineering reach to Scotland and I’m pleased to be able to offer our clients our enhanced proposition. Broadening our capability and adding deeper domain expertise for our clients is a central plank of our growth strategy.”
