If you want an experienced mind to help drive your business forward, then calling on someone with more than 50 years on the London market seems like a good place to start. Finding that person, however, is another task altogether.
Yet that is exactly what Dale Underwriting Partners has done with its swoop for Jim Ramage (pictured), who has been an active underwriter and director at a host of underwriting companies, as well as holding a number of senior positions at broking firms. Some of his notable roles include being deputy CEO and director at Guy Carpenter, as well as a director at JLT Re playing a key role in establishing its broking business.
In recent times, Ramage has taken independent non-executive director roles, while participating on a number of key governance committees. Now, as of April 01, Ramage will sit as a non-executive director to the board of the holding company at Dale Partners Limited.
“Jim has a wealth of experience as a director and a successful track record in launching and running broking and underwriting firms,” said Duncan Dale. “His entrepreneurial spirit will be crucial in driving our business forward and we will benefit greatly from his expertise. We look forward to welcoming him to the board.”
In a release announcing his appointment, Ramage noted that he was looking forward to working closely with the team and strengthening its position in the Lloyd’s and London market.
