Richard Day, who is stepping back after 14 years with Crawford & Company, has been succeeded by William Jones (pictured) as Lloyd’s and London Markets head.
The appointment saw Jones move from his previous role as vice president, Lloyd’s and London Markets. He has worked at the global claims management giant for a decade now, starting out as a graduate trainee adjuster in 2013.
“[This] announcement is testament to Crawford’s commitment to building from within,” chief client officer for global client development Benedict Burke said in an emailed release.
“Since joining the Lloyd’s and London Markets team in 2018, William has worked alongside Richard, building very strong and productive relationships with our many clients across this marketplace. His appointment is a natural progression and in this role he will continue to elevate our standing as a dedicated claims partner.
“I would also like to acknowledge Richard’s incredible devotion to driving our engagement with the Lloyd’s and London Markets over the last 14 years. He has played an integral role in establishing Crawford as the claims manager of choice throughout the market.”
Meanwhile Crawford, without specifying what position Day now holds, said he will continue to work alongside his successor.
