Crawford & Company has added Dutch Caribbean Claims Expertise (DCCE) to its global network of providers.

Based in Curacao, DCCE is a claims adjusting company that provides management services for property, business interruption, liability and personal injury claims. It is led by Nanne Holtrop, who has worked in the region for more than 14 years.

With the addition of DCCE to its global network, Crawford can offer its coverage to the countries and municipalities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Caribbean. The company said DCCE’s team of senior adjusters has been added to its network after they have achieved accreditation standards to ensure consistency of the company’s services at the local level.

Niels de Kock, Crawford president for Europe and Middle East, said DCCE is a “highly adept team composed of true experts across a broad spectrum of claims as well as catastrophic events.”

He welcomed DCCE’s team, adding that it will aid in Crawford’s goal to expand its local service coverage in different regions.

“We are delighted to be able to bring our global capabilities to customers in the region to help them solve claims challenges through innovation and expertise,” de Kock commented.

In other news, Crawford launched Turvi last year, an Insurtech company offering software-as-a-service solutions to improve the property and casualty claims ecosystem.

Turvi aims to improve user experience by incorporating artificial intelligence and automation to streamline claims processing, speed up estimating and simplify coverage review.

In his statement during the firm’s launch, Turvi chief executive Ken Tolson said: “We are launching Turvi to help address this issue, by providing partners, large and small, new and established, the tools they need to address big problems in the claims process – and in doing so, to help improve the policyholder experience.”
