Crawford & Company has announced that its UK-based Crawford Academy has received CPD accreditation from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
The CII accreditation recognises the quality of the training provided by the Crawford Academy, offering participants assurance that the programme adheres to industry best practice standards. The Crawford Academy focuses on identifying and developing talent within the company, supporting career progression into senior loss adjusting roles.
Loss adjusters who participate in the programme receive expert-led training, coaching, and mentoring, aimed at equipping them to handle major and complex claims. The company plans to deliver 1,500 to 1,600 hours of training through the Academy in 2024.
The accreditation process by the CII involves a thorough review of the programme’s content, objectives, and methodologies, as well as observations of training sessions. The programme is required to meet CPD standards, including trainer competencies, quality, consistency, and evaluation of learning outcomes.
Andrew Bart (pictured above), president for the UK and Ireland and CEO of International Operations at Crawford, stated that the CII accreditation is a significant validation of the company’s commitment to professional development and career progression.
“Our dedication to career progression and enhancing the quality and consistency of our colleague-facing training has helped position Crawford as a leading destination for talent in the market and we will continue to invest in a working environment that enables colleagues to learn more, heighten their expertise, and expand the skills horizon,” Bart said.
Gill White, executive director of Membership Engagement & Learning at the CII, highlighted the importance of the accreditation, noting that participants in Crawford Academy training will be assured of high standards in professional development.
“Those looking to develop their professional skills can be confident that they will benefit from a program that meets the highest standards for the insurance sector and helps to engender public trust and confidence. CII members will be able to log CPD learning hours accrued through participation in Crawford Academy training,” White said.
