Cowens Group has announced the addition of eight new members to its team over the past six months.
Amy Town, Ryan Taylor, Hannah Jiggins, Alice Swan, Freya Bryan, Josh Smyth and Kiera Tarpey have been appointed as account handlers. Meanwhile, Eve Stenson has been appointed apprentice administration assistant, and is the broker’s youngest employee.
Cowens said that the group have been brought on board as part of plans to expand services as it continues to grow its client base in various new sectors across the UK.
“At Cowens, our ethos revolves around providing the very best customer service for our clients, and I believe our recruitment strategy over the past six months is a true reflection of that,” said Declan Shaw, key partnerships director at Cowens Group. “We are pleased to have grown our team with so many talented new employees who share this vision of bringing the highest levels of professionalism to our industry.
The eight new starters have grown Cowens’ workforce by 20% since April, making 2019 one of the biggest years for expansion the business has seen.
“Following our rebrand and restructure last year, we’ve taken on a large amount of new work, so it has been incredibly important to strengthen our team to support this business growth,” said Shaw. “Each person we’ve brought on board brings something unique and I’m looking forward to seeing how this new range of personalities and skills benefits the clients we help. It is brilliant to be able to support the careers of some of the up and coming stars of the insurance industry and I look forward to seeing them flourish and succeed in their new roles.”
